The punk rock community was heartbroken to learn of the passing of No Use For A Name frontman, Tony Sly, two years ago today. The singer died peacefully in his sleep, but that does not stop the heartache of the band mates, peers, and fans he left behind.

As a memorial to the late artist, Fat Wreck Chords released a two-disc tribute on October 29, 2013. The album features legends and newcomers alike singing some of their favorite No Use songs including Strung Out performing “Soulmate”, Bad Religion with their rendition of “Let It Slide” and NOFX with “The Shortest Pier”.
The album is available in all formats and proceeds will benefit the Tony Sly Memorial Fund to help benefit the two daughters he left behind. The record is available in CD, vinyl, and digital formats by clicking HERE!

To commemorate Sly, PunkRockRadio in Australia is airing a two-hour special beginning July 30th at 7:00am (Pacific Standard Time) and broadcasting through August 6, 2014. The show includes interviews with various people from Tony’s life. Expect shared stories, some laughs, and cover songs from El Hefe of NOFX, Annie DeTemple of Old Man Markley, and Sam King of the band Get Dead. We will also be fortunate to hear from Tony’s wife, Brigitte Sly, and his brother, Jon Sly.
