I have tried looking up this issue with different keywords but have only found other noises that don’t appear to be mine. With my Jeep, regardless of speed, there is an incredibly annoying vibrating sound coming from the center dashboard just under the rear view mirror. It is worse under faster speeds, but still bad when going slow. We have been unable to pinpoint where exactly despite many tries. This noise only comes when the pavement is not 100% equal, and living in NYC most streets aren’t perfect. Just a tiny depth change, little bump, tiny potholes etc bring out this vibrating noise. It is hard to describe the noise, but there’s definitley some vibration to it. It is worse in cold weather, but is still loud and clear in the warmer air too. Not that I plan on selling my Jeep any time remotely soon, but it happens so oftenly and loudly that I doubt you could sell it with this noise present unless it was way under value.
I’m sure it has something to do with the windshield as I had my windshield replaced in December and that’s when it started. After 2 weeks we were going to call our insurance about this, but then it went away completely. I had this noise shortly after buying my Jeep, but it went away after 2 days and never came back again which is why I thought I was fine when it went away the second time around. Starting last week with colder temperature again it’s come back and is worse then before. Has anybody on here ever had this issue?
