So for about a week now my ’08 JKU has been acting funny. When ever I accelerate to get up to highway speeds, my jeep will climb to about 2000 RPMS as normal. Then it’ll stay at about 2500rpm and get stuck there for a few seconds before going back down. And while all this is happening, my jeep is still increasing in speed. I’ve also noticed that now I have to step on the gas a little to get rolling forward in drive. while before my jeep would just roll forward on its own when in drive. I do have a lift and 35’s with stock gears. however I’ve recalibrated the speedo with a Flashcal about a month ago. so I don’t think this is whats causing the problem. Anyone know what’s wrong?
*here’s 2 videos I took of this occurring:
– after doing some research it seems some possible causes for this could be either a bad throttle position sensor or a dirty fuel filter but cant be for certain has anyone experienced something like this?
