New member here, new jeep owner. I picked up an ’82 CJ5 for a tow’d behind the motor home and to play with. It has a 4″ BDM lift with 32″ tires. The rear has a 6 degree shim and the transfer case dropped 1″. It appears to be a nice clean installation and I didn’t notice any issues driving it up to 50 mph. After that it becomes a hand full so going through everything now and have a 6 degree front shim to install to address the caster issue.
My question is that even though I felt no vibration the rear drive shaft angle looks pretty scary. Anything I should worry about or is this setup tried and proven?
Also while replacing the engine mounts the passenger side doesn’t want to line up? Seems the engine needs to slide forward about 1/2″ but only on that side? Is this common with the lift?
