Hey Guys…….

I promised upon my return to Jamaica to let all of you helpful folks know what happened when I tried to solve my stalling problem by implementing the venturi clean out procedure you described. Took it all apart and cleaned out the venturi’s…….everything went well and put it all back together. STILL stalls at stoplights….in traffic…….etc. It RUNS great but just dies like a dog in traffic (but not always by any means) and is a bit dangerous accordingly. Does fine on the road but seems no better than before regarding stalling. The jets did not seem dirty. When the venturi package did come out part of the underlying gasket came with it with the rest stuck to the base where it sits. It split cleanly but I did not have another one to replace it so I re-installed the venturi pkg and hoped for the best. DO any of you think that could still be allowing the problem to occur? If not……HELP….as I guess I go to vacuum hoses and check them over next? Sure thought you guys had it nailed but it is a Jeep and “a bit “cranky” by nature. To recap..it is a 1988 Wrangler six cylinder with 45K miles on it….old carb replaced with a rebuilt one a few years back……..THANKS IN ADVANCE!! Douglas
