Rejuvenated and energized from the release of his sixth studio album Undercurrent earlier this year, Grammy-nominated Matisyahu revealed that he plans to release a new edition of his originally acclaimed Live at Stubb’s album in the midst of The Broken Crowns Tour with Common Kings and Orphan taking place through the Fall and into the Winter.

Dating back to his King Without A Crown days, Matisyahu’s release of Live at Stubb’s in 2005 help solidify him at the time as one of the biggest breakthrough artists in the music industry – since then he has not looked back and has further established himself as a kingpin within the reggae community. Fast forward to 2017 and Matisyahu is still reeling from the release of Undercurrent via Fallen Sparks. Additionally, Matisyahu has been engulfed in a tour spanning 53 cities and with the help of his tour mates Common Kings dropped a new single entitled “Broken Crowns” – the track has already received a warm reception and can be heard below.

For added context for those unaware, Stubbs Bar-B-Q is a music venue in Austin, TX that has grown accustomed to hosting notable artists on a nightly basis. Stubbs is where Matisyahu first released his live album, and has kept this as a tradition – his new release from their performance Sunday, November 5 will be the fourth installment. In a live setting, the already improvisational Matisyahu and his band are known to take their creativity to the next level, sometimes carrying a song for well over ten minutes.

Additional information is expected to be released in the near future regarding the availability of the recording, check back soon at The Pier for more details!
