Gulf Coast Cowboy: April 30

Welcome back to the Gulf Coast Cowboy! How many of you have ever been sailing? It’s one of the most peaceful experiences you can ever have. If you ever have the chance to sail out away from the coast for a few hours, do it. It’s one of my favorite things to do! There’s nothing like letting the wind guide you and enjoying some time away from life’s troubles and your responsibilities for a little while. Heck, I bet if we all went sailing on a regular basis, everyone would be happier. This weeks episode is dedicated to the power of the wind to take up away from all of our worries. Tune in Wednesday, April 30 at 7pm on KBEC!

Texas is a big state. Not only do we have a host of great country music musicians, but we’ve also got a ton of talented trop-rockers out there, too. This great state is a haven of people trying to get to the beach and enjoy the sun. With hundreds of miles of coastline on the Gulf Of Mexico, there’s always a good time to be had down south. With Galveston and South Padre being bona-fide destinations for beach-goers, trop-rockers have plenty to sing about. This episode is dedicated to all of the Texan singer & songwriters who are trying to get to the beach just as much as we are. Join us on Wednesday, April 16 at 7pm to hear some great songs written by Texan inhabitants.

Escapism is mental diversion by means of entertainment or recreation, as an “escape” from the perceived unpleasant or banal aspects of daily life. It can also be used as a term to define the actions people take to help relieve persisting feelings of depression or general sadness. (via Wikipedia)

Gulf Coast Cowboy: March 19 (All About Buffett)

Posted in Radio shows, Trop Rock Artists | Comments Off on Gulf Coast Cowboy: March 19 (All About Buffett)

It’s safe to say, We probably wouldn’t be broadcasting this show without the music of Jimmy Buffett. He’s released over 30 albums since he started, 8 of them  are Gold Albums and 9 of them Platinum or Multi Platinum. The man is a machine. When you have achieved as much as Jimmy has, you tend to get a lot of admirers and, in this case, a lot of songs written about you. That’s what this week’s show is all about! We’re playing all the dedications and songs written in appreciation of the man, who many believe, started it all! Tune in Wednesday at 7pm!

Stolen Jimmy Buffett Signed Guitar

My Father’s house was recently burglarized. Among the nearly $20,000 worth of items that were stolen, one of these items cannot be replaced easily. I am reaching out to the Trop Rock Community, especially the Southeast. His Signed Jimmy Buffett Guitar was stolen.

This is certificate is all that remains. The thief is believed to be in Coastal Alabama or in the Florida Panhandle areas. If you have any information regarding this, please contact us.
