Featured Artist of the Week – Coconut Radio

Posted in Featured Artist of the Week, Trop Rock Artists | Comments Off on Featured Artist of the Week – Coconut Radio

Award winning violinist and Trop Rock nominee Sue Kittredge and singer/songwriter Steve Reeths of Coconut Radio have been playing dumps and palaces from Chicago and Nashville down to Tampa and Key West since meeting in 1992. Currently living in the panhandle of Florida, the duo spend their time writing songs, playing music and living the dream on the Emerald Coast. The music of Coconut Radio is meant to share that feeling, those emotions one feels sharing a cold one with friends at the tiki bar or watching a beautiful sunset. Susan Kittredge, violinst extrordinaire, has been twice nominated for one of five Trop Rock female performers nation wide. Their two self-released CDs are being played nation wide by Trop Rock radio stations from Key West to California. The Destin, Florida newspaper, The Beachcomber writes, “(Coconut Radio’s release ‘Gone Bamboo’) is the perfect soundtrack for your spring and summer.” They can often be found at LuLu’s at Homeport in Gulf Shores, AL. Their CD’s and singles can be downloaded here.

“I discovered this acoustic duo playing in a thatched hut attched to a restaurant located on the coast of Florida. I was immediately drawn in by the different musical textures they created, and their honest unforgetable melodies that I couldn’t get out of my head on the way home….”  Dr. T. Roberts, The Direct Buzz
