Factory LED headlights

You do know the Mopar LED headlights are the headlight and bucket in one piece. They are not like the others where you mount them in the stock bucket and then screw on the retainer ring.

The parts price for the stock bucket, H13 headlight and retainer ring secured by the four screws (all one assembly) is $150 each. Some vendors have buckets but I don’t know if they have the retainer rings.

Also, the lights come as a right and a left. You can buy the right or the left or the pair as aftermarket. Not totally sure about the difference, all I know is I like mine.

5.3 swap computer/wiring questions

Morning!

So, I bought someone else’s headache.

2005 LJ with a 5.3 from an 07 Chevy 1500, Turbo 350.

Everything was great when I bought it, but it soon started acting up. I won’t go into all the little details of the issues it is having as they could be a hundred different things, but if I could put a scanner on her it would help a LOT.

The problem is that they used the stock 5.3 computer and just wired it in to the jeep WITHOUT a OBD port.

I need to decide if I can wire in a diagnostic port to help me track dow nthe issues or if I should buy a wiring harness made for the application.

It is a turbo 350, so no electronics there. The gauges are not the factory ones for the jeep, so no issues there.

Any advice?

Thanks,

RC
